Process Safety Management Coordinator (Chemical Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Lead the Management of Change process, including documentation, risk evaluation, and implementation.
• Coordinate Process Hazard Analyses, facilitate reviews, and track action items through completion.
• Maintain OSHA Process Safety Management compliance and audit readiness.
• Lead or support internal and external safety audits and resolve findings.
• Develop PSM procedures, documentation, training materials, and employee awareness programs.
• Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses, oversee Mechanical Integrity programs, and conduct Pre-Startup Safety Reviews for new or modified equipment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Health & Safety, or a related technical discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience supporting Process Safety Management programs in a chemical manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of OSHA PSM requirements under 29 CFR 1910.119 and EPA Risk Management Plan requirements.
• Experience with risk assessments, hazard analyses, process safety reviews, Mechanical Integrity, Management of Change, and incident investigations.
• Ability to interpret P&IDs, process flow diagrams, engineering drawings, and technical documentation.
• Strong project management, organizational, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience leading regulatory inspections, audits, and compliance improvement initiatives.
• Familiarity with process safety and EHS management systems and software.
• Experience delivering continuous improvement projects that improve process safety performance and compliance.
