Location: Bryan, Texas, United States. Onsite work at the Bush Combat Development Complex and RELLIS Campus; restricted to U.S. citizens and requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Department of War Security Clearance.
Salary: $6,251.00–$10,000.00 per month, commensurate with experience.

What you will do
- Architect and implement modular, scalable frameworks for multi-agent coordination and BCDC autonomy stacks.
- Develop high-performance Python and C++ algorithms for embedded hardware and ROS2 middleware.
- Design decentralized communication, shared situational awareness, simulation, and cross-platform integration architectures for air and ground vehicles.
- Conduct hardware-software trade studies and integrate ROS2 nodes across autonomous helicopters and robotic ground vehicles.
- Lead system experimentation, field testing, large-scale demonstrations, and analysis of field data to define requirements and performance metrics.
- Mentor research staff, maintain technical continuity across projects, support funding proposals, and produce technical reports, presentations, and publications.
Requirements
- Master's degree in an applicable field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least six years of related experience.
- Experience prototyping decentralized communication frameworks and selecting middleware for different mission requirements.
- Experience identifying funding opportunities and contributing to technical proposals for research sponsors.
- Advanced knowledge of system architecture for multi-agent robotics and distributed autonomous systems.
- U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain a U.S. Department of War Security Clearance are required.
