Director Technical Field Service Training (Power Generation)

What you will do

• Establish the enterprise service training strategy, standards, governance model, and operating rhythm.
• Lead curriculum architecture, certification frameworks, competency models, and technical training delivery across global service channels.
• Oversee instructor-led, digital, simulation, and on-the-job learning programs for technicians, installers, dealers, distributors, and service leaders.
• Align training with product roadmaps, new product introduction, commercialization, safety, regulatory, and quality requirements.
• Use field data, reliability insights, KPIs, and stakeholder feedback to improve service accuracy, first-time fix rates, customer satisfaction, warranty costs, and operational efficiency.
• Build and lead a high-performing training organization and scalable career-development ecosystem.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 7 years of training or instructional design experience in a technical environment.
• At least 4 years of leadership experience, preferably in a global manufacturing or regulated environment.
• Experience leading leaders, influencing executive stakeholders, and delivering enterprise transformation and large-scale cross-functional initiatives.
• Strong business acumen, governance and performance-metrics experience, organizational change management, and talent-development capability.
• Experience with SAP or an equivalent ERP system.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree.
• Master Training certification.
• Experience creating online curriculum and developing technical training using DACUM.
• Product development experience in a design or service role.
