Senior IT Business Data Analyst (PBM)

Location: Hybrid in Morris Plains, New Jersey, United States

Annual salary: $112,800–$188,000 USD, depending on experience and geographic location, plus potential eligibility for an annual bonus plan.

What you will do

• Design and deliver enterprise-scale, cloud-native data pipelines and curated datasets for business, legal, and regulatory requirements.
• Engineer secure, auditable data extracts for litigation, compliance, and other high-risk legal use cases.
• Build and maintain scalable ETL and ELT workflows across enterprise and cloud analytics platforms.
• Partner with Legal, Market Analytics, Enterprise Technology, and Data Engineering teams to translate complex requests into reliable technical solutions.
• Establish best practices for automation, testing, monitoring, documentation, governance, security, lineage, retention, and chain of custody.
• Support data modernization initiatives, resolve complex platform and risk challenges, and provide technical guidance to analysts and partner teams.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or advanced analytics.
• Extensive experience delivering enterprise-scale data solutions and working independently on complex, ambiguous, high-risk initiatives.
• Hands-on expertise with Teradata, Python, SQL, Databricks, and cloud-based analytics platforms.
• Prior PBM/PBS experience or knowledge.
• Experience building secure, auditable data pipelines for legal, regulatory, or compliance requirements.
• Strong knowledge of data governance, data quality, lineage, documentation, and cross-functional communication.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Experience modernizing legacy analytics or reporting platforms.
• Familiarity with enterprise cloud architecture and data security standards.
