Maintenance Engineer II

Location: Minneapolis, United States; on-site building operations with on-call, after-hours, and weekend rotations.

Annual salary: $75,000–$90,000.

What you will do

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on building equipment and systems.
• Respond to, evaluate, and complete tenant and service demand requests.
• Troubleshoot MEP system failures, complete repairs, and develop workable solutions.
• Manage and assist subcontractors performing maintenance, repairs, and building projects.
• Coordinate with the property manager and lead engineer on services, project planning, and tenant improvements.
• Monitor energy systems, adjust set-points, document actions, and verify fire/life/safety equipment performance.

Requirements

• At least five years of experience in building maintenance or a related field.
• Comprehensive knowledge of energy management systems and strong computer skills.
• Regional or local licensing or certifications required to operate a building.
• High school diploma or equivalent, plus a two-year technical degree or equivalent experience in commercial building and equipment operations.
• Universal CFC certification required.
• Employment eligibility must be verified for work in the United States.

Nice to have

• SMA, SMT, LEED, or other applicable certifications.
