Director, Accounting

What you will do

• Lead the global monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process.
• Oversee SEC filings, public disclosures, and compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations.
• Direct technical accounting for revenue recognition, leasing, contracts, joint ventures, and capital projects.
• Own the internal control over financial reporting framework and coordinate SOX compliance, testing, remediation, and external audit activities.
• Oversee accounting for EPC projects, including cost tracking, change orders, revenue recognition, and contract accounting.
• Lead global accounting teams and drive process standardization, automation, ERP improvements, and talent development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 12+ years of progressive accounting experience, including significant public company experience.
• CPA or another professional accounting certification.
• 8+ years of management experience leading accounting or financial reporting functions in a complex, global organization.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, and SOX/ICFR requirements.
• Experience managing external audits and regulatory compliance.

Nice to have

• Experience in EPC, construction, energy, or other project-based industries.
• Big Four or national public accounting firm experience.
• Expertise in project accounting and revenue recognition for long-term contracts.
• Experience with SAP, Oracle, or financial consolidation tools.
• Strong executive presence and ability to communicate complex accounting matters.
