Manufacturing Systems Coordinator (Aerospace Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in Long Beach, California, United States. The role requires extended work on the manufacturing floor, occasional evening or weekend support, travel between hirify.global facilities in the Long Beach area, and the ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

Pay range: $19.32–$31.47 USD per hour in California.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain SOPs, user guides, quick-reference materials, training content, and best-practice documentation for Manufacturo and other manufacturing systems.
• Organize Manufacturing Systems knowledge in Confluence and publish bulletins about system features, standards, process changes, and factory updates.
• Coordinate communications across Operational Excellence, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Manufacturing Systems.
• Support the development, implementation, auditing, and standardization of production lines, work centers, locations, and other factory structures.
• Coordinate data-hygiene corrections, Manufacturo tickets, corrective actions, and cross-functional follow-up through closure.
• Collect and maintain weekly metrics, monthly manufacturing reviews, dashboards, visual-management displays, and performance TVs for production teams and leadership.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, production operations, manufacturing support, quality, supply chain, or a related environment.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes, production workflows, and shop-floor operations.
• Experience creating or maintaining SOPs, work instructions, training materials, or standardized process documentation.
• Strong organization, communication, attention to detail, stakeholder coordination, and data-review skills.
• Experience with production metrics, dashboards, spreadsheets, presentation software, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or equivalent tools.
• Must be able to work onsite in Long Beach and directly in an active manufacturing environment. Access to export-controlled information requires U.S. person status or eligibility for deemed export licensing.

Nice to have

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Operations, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
• Experience with process, standards, 5S, quality, or manufacturing systems audits and manufacturing KPIs.
• Experience with MES, ERP/MRP, Manufacturo, Confluence, or similar manufacturing and knowledge-management platforms.
• Experience supporting MES implementation, user adoption, training, or continuous improvement.
• Experience in aerospace, automotive, medical-device, or other high-complexity manufacturing environments.
