Materials Control Specialist (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Oversee material control and traceability throughout receiving, fabrication, and shipment to project sites.
• Perform receiving inspections and verify material quantities, dimensions, thicknesses, and specifications against purchase orders.
• Maintain receiving inspection reports, traceability logs, mill test reports, certificates of compliance, and other project records.
• Communicate material restrictions, including Buy American requirements, and support compliance with project and management-system requirements.
• Manage material-control non-conformances and corrective actions, including root cause analysis where applicable.
• Prepare periodic materials-control reports and advise project, operations, quality, and fabrication stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Materials, or a relevant discipline; alternatively, HSD, GED, or IGCSE with three years of relevant experience.
• At least three years of materials-control experience in a shop environment.
• Functional knowledge of material-requirements-planning systems such as Oracle Agile PLM and/or Oracle JD Edwards.
• Ability to create Excel spreadsheets, graphs, and pivot tables with supporting analysis.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, multitasking, and deadline-management skills.
