What you will do
- Perform and oversee incoming and shipment inspections, verifying material quality, quantity, specifications, condition, and shipment requirements.
- Train teams on material identification, handling, recognition, and storage requirements, and resolve mixed or incorrectly stored materials.
- Manage obsolete materials, inventory control activities, part-number lists, descriptions, photos, units of measure, and material records in the SCM system.
- Support the creation, correction, inactivation, and merging of part numbers while monitoring material master data for accuracy and completeness.
- Troubleshoot ordering and SCM discrepancies and coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, warehouse teams, customers, and internal stakeholders.
- Investigate customer complaints involving transportation, incorrect shipments, damaged materials, or product quality, and coordinate returns, replacements, exchanges, and corrective actions.
Requirements
- Associate degree or higher in quality management, supply chain, engineering, business, logistics, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- 5+ years of experience in quality control, material management, supply chain, warehouse operations, manufacturing, or a related function.
- Fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese is required.
- Experience with incoming material inspection, inventory control, material identification, or material master data management.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, root-cause analysis, organization, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP, SCM, inventory, or material management systems.
Nice to have
- Previous supervisory, lead, or management experience.
- Experience in semiconductor, manufacturing, engineering, construction, or industrial environments.
- Experience with part numbers, Bills of Materials, material master data, inventory databases, nonconforming materials, corrective actions, supplier quality, customer complaints, returns, or shipment-related quality issues.
