New York Title Examiner/Reader (Remote)

Location: Remote within the USA, New York, Lake Success

Salary: $26.15–$28.85 hourly

What you will do

• Examine titles and chains of title for a wide range of primarily residential title orders.
• Abstract and analyze mortgages, liens, judgments, easements, vital statistics, plat books, and map books.
• Determine property ownership, legal restrictions, and the completeness of title records.
• Resolve missing, incomplete, inaccurate, or contradictory information in title documentation.
• Prepare initial title commitment documentation and review reports for accuracy.
• Provide underwriting interpretation within established guidelines when needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of directly related experience.
• New York title examination experience required.
• Strong analytical, research, investigative, problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
• Detail and quality orientation, standard Microsoft skills, and proficiency with company operating systems.
• Knowledge of legal terms is helpful.

Nice to have

• New Jersey title examination experience.
