TL;DR
Design Engineer (Generator Systems): Leading the mechanical design and development of custom, engineered-to-order generator systems with an accent on Creo-based CAD development, manufacturability, and customer-specific engineering. Focus on owning projects from requirements through production support, optimizing materials and components, and solving technical risks across global cross-functional teams.
Location: Hybrid at the Mosel facility in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, with 3 days onsite. Limited travel may be required. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring new or transfer visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Salary: $83,300–$105,200 per year

What you will do
- Lead mechanical design and CAD development for custom generator sets, enclosures, and related system components.
- Own engineering projects from initial requirements through design release and production support.
- Develop parametric models, assemblies, and engineering drawings using Creo.
- Provide technical leadership to CAD designers and support global engineering resources.
- Collaborate with Sales, Application Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing, and Purchasing.
- Evaluate materials, components, manufacturability, cost, performance, and technical risks.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience.
- At least 2 years of experience using Creo for 3D CAD modeling and design.
- At least 2 years of experience designing industrial or engineered-to-order products.
- Advanced CAD modeling, technical design, analytical problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Authorization to work in the United States without requiring new or transfer visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Nice to have
- Experience with generator systems, power systems, or industrial equipment design.
- Familiarity with design for manufacturability and fabrication processes.
- Experience in a cross-functional, global engineering environment.
