Director of Land Development

Location: Tucson, Arizona, United States; onsite leadership of the Tucson office

Salary: $160,000–$190,000 annually

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and grow the Tucson Land Development Division.
• Oversee residential, commercial, and mixed-use development projects throughout Tucson and greater Arizona.
• Advise clients across the project lifecycle and manage scope, schedules, budgets, and project performance.
• Lead project teams while maintaining technical quality, efficiency, collaboration, and innovation.
• Develop staff through mentoring, training, and professional development initiatives.
• Support business development, client retention, new project pursuits, and relationships with Arizona developers, builders, and higher-education institutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited college.
• Registered Arizona Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
• 15+ years of relevant experience managing land development projects.
• Experience leading teams, reviewing employee performance, and mentoring civil engineering staff.
• Ability to direct, plan, and control design team work independently, including constructability reviews and site construction conformance evaluations.
• Experience with client management, business development, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Microsoft Project, and Bluebeam.
