Associate Category Manager, Marketing

Location: Hybrid role based at the headquarters near Portland, Oregon, United States; onsite four days per week. Travel of up to 10% may be required.

What you will do

• Support the development, maintenance, and execution of category strategies using spend data, supplier performance information, market intelligence, and industry trends.
• Contribute to multi-year category plans, sourcing roadmaps, savings targets, and stakeholder priorities.
• Support supplier segmentation, governance, scorecards, business reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead sourcing initiatives and supplier negotiations through the procurement lifecycle.
• Partner with stakeholders across functions, brands, and regions to provide category, supplier, market, compliance, and sourcing insights.
• Share procurement knowledge, support process improvements, and help advance procurement best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in category management, procurement, strategic sourcing, supplier management, or a related category-specific industry role.
• Knowledge of assigned categories, suppliers, market dynamics, industry trends, and emerging opportunities.
• Experience with category strategy development, strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, contract management, procurement processes, and supplier performance management.
• Strong analytical, data management, communication, presentation, project management, organizational, relationship-building, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
• Proficiency with procurement technologies, ERP systems, supplier management tools, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office.
