Technical Product Manager – Plumbing & Hardware

hirify.global operates in management consulting and is hiring for an operations-focused technical product management role supporting plumbing and architectural hardware products.

What you will do

• Act as the primary technical resource for Sales and Customer Service on plumbing fixtures, valves, rough-ins, drains, fittings, accessories, and architectural hardware.
• Review complex, custom, modified, and special-order configurations for technical feasibility before release to Operations.
• Translate customer requirements into clear instructions for Engineering and Production, including drawings, specifications, finishes, components, quantities, and installation requirements.
• Troubleshoot plumbing, hardware, installation, assembly, compatibility, and product-performance issues using photographs, drawings, measurements, and installation conditions.
• Coordinate root-cause analysis, corrective actions, replacement components, repairs, rework, and field-support solutions with Engineering, Quality, and Production.
• Support custom-product evaluations, prototypes, testing, validation, new-product launches, technical training, and continuous improvement of documentation and release processes.

Requirements

• Five or more years of experience in plumbing, architectural hardware, technical product support, applications engineering, manufacturing, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing fixtures, valves, fittings, rough-ins, drains, connections, and installation requirements.
• Experience with architectural, door, cabinet, bath, or decorative hardware.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, installation instructions, and technical submittals.
• Experience troubleshooting technical product and installation issues, with strong written, verbal, organizational, and project-coordination skills.
• A bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Industrial Technology, Product Design, Operations, or a related field is preferred; equivalent technical experience is considered.

Nice to have

• Experience in luxury plumbing, decorative hardware, architectural products, or custom manufacturing.
• Knowledge of brass casting, machining, polishing, plating, patina, finishing, assembly, and inspection.
• Familiarity with plumbing codes and standards such as IAPMO, ASME, CSA, ADA, or UL.
• Experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, NetSuite, CPQ software, or manufacturing ERP systems.
• Experience supporting custom products and new-product launches.
