Location: Meridianville, Alabama, United States; onsite manufacturing role. U.S. citizenship is required, along with existing or obtainable U.S. Department of Defense security clearance.

What you will do

  • Fabricate, assemble, maintain, and repair composite aircraft components made from fiberglass, carbon materials, polyurethane, epoxy resins, and related materials.
  • Perform pre-preg and wet lay-up, cutting, bagging, trimming, casting, bonding preparation, and complex composite repairs.
  • Load and operate presses, ovens, autoclaves, vacuum pumps, and related production equipment.
  • Interpret work orders, blueprints, lay-up charts, Army technical manuals, drawings, and written instructions.
  • Select compatible tooling and materials, use precision production tools, and record production data and time in computer systems.
  • Work safely with hazardous materials and waste while rigging, lifting, and transporting large parts and equipment in a team environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED, composite certification from an accredited college, and 3–5 years of experience in composite manufacturing repairs.
  • Experience with precision tools such as dial calipers, hot bonders, torque wrenches, and vacuum pumps.
  • Ability to verify parts for defects before quality-control inspection.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must have or be capable of obtaining a U.S. Department of Defense security clearance.
  • Ability to work overtime when required.
