Composite Technician I (Aerospace)

Location: Meridianville, Alabama; must be willing to reside in the Huntsville, Alabama area. Onsite role; no relocation provided.

What you will do

• Fabricate, assemble, maintain, and repair composite aircraft components made from fiberglass, carbon materials, polyurethane, epoxy resins, and related materials.
• Perform pre-preg and wet lay-up, cutting, bagging, trimming, casting, pre-fitting, and bonding preparation.
• Load and operate presses, ovens, and autoclaves while following work instructions and equipment procedures.
• Read and apply Army technical manuals, drawings, blueprints, work orders, and lay-up charts.
• Use precision and production tools, including dial calipers, hot bonders, torque wrenches, and vacuum pumps.
• Record production data in Excel, track time in Auto-time, and present defect-free parts for quality inspection.

Requirements

• Composites certification from an accredited college or at least one year of relevant experience.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Experience with precision tools and composite lay-up and assembly equipment.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and must be willing to reside in the Huntsville, Alabama area.
• Must have or be capable of obtaining a U.S. Department of Defense security clearance.
• Ability to work overtime when required and safely handle regulated and hazardous materials.
