Composite Technician (Aerospace)

Salary: $21.64 per hour on 1st shift or $22.64 per hour on 2nd shift. The posting also lists an annual salary range of $43,700–$47,100.

What you will do

• Assist with mold and form preparation, composite lay-up, vacuum bagging, and curing.
• Mark, cut, trim, drill, route, sand, and shape composite materials, adhesives, honeycomb, and woven materials.
• Assemble aircraft components using adhesives, rivets, threaded fasteners, and standard manufacturing tools.
• Mix resins and catalysts, verify material expiration dates, and follow established process requirements.
• Prepare, sand, paint, and finish composite and metal components to required specifications.
• Maintain production records, follow safety procedures, and keep the work area organized.

Requirements

• Mechanically inclined and comfortable performing detailed hands-on work.
• Ability to use manufacturing tools and follow technical instructions and established processes.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and follow safety and quality procedures.
• Ability to work onsite in Poway, California.
• Availability for either the 1st shift, 5:00 AM–2:30 PM, or the 2nd shift, 3:00 PM–12:30 AM; overtime may be required.
