Manufacturing Process Engineer (Surface Treatment and Coating)

Location: Lebanon, Indiana, United States; onsite manufacturing role

Salary: $75,000–$90,000 per year

What you will do

• Apply CAPVD and MSPVD surface treatment and coating processes, with additional exposure to nitriding, thermal diffusion, and heat treating.
• Review incoming contracts and create accurate process instructions in the ERP system.
• Support production-floor furnace setup, troubleshoot vacuum furnace equipment, and verify system operation.
• Design custom fixturing and masking solutions for specialized customer components.
• Collaborate with R&D and applications engineering to develop processes and transition them into production.
• Create SOPs, review nonconformances, support continuous improvement, and maintain quality compliance.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident status is required; visa sponsorship is not available.
• Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical/Materials Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Working knowledge of vacuum furnace equipment, controls, surface coatings, heat treatment, and nitriding.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks or equivalent 3D modeling software, Microsoft Office, blueprints, and technical drawings.
• Leadership, organizational, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
