EHS Technician

Location: Onsite work across production-floor and outdoor test environments in the United States. U.S. citizenship is required, and candidates must be able to meet U.S. export control requirements and obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance.

What you will do

• Conduct daily and weekly EHS walkthroughs across manufacturing, R&D, and test areas using approved checklists.
• Document findings, support hazard identification and control selection, and escalate hazards to the EHS Manager.
• Coordinate site coverage with the EHS Specialist across inspections, training, open tickets, and field support.
• Inspect and maintain PPE, lockout devices, eyewash and shower stations, fire extinguishers, and spill kits.
• Manage hazardous waste accumulation areas, chemical labeling, storage segregation, and inventory support.
• Coordinate EHS training logistics and support directed onsite response actions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent plus an associate degree, technical certificate, recognized EHS training, military safety training, apprenticeship, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• One to three years of hands-on EHS, industrial hygiene, environmental, or safety support experience in a manufacturing, R&D, construction, or industrial environment.
• Familiarity with OSHA and Cal-OSHA workplace safety requirements.
• Ability to complete inspection forms, logs, and other records accurately.
• Ability to work on production floors and outdoors, including standing, walking, climbing ladders, lifting up to 50 pounds, and wearing respiratory protection.
• U.S. citizenship, eligibility under U.S. export control requirements, and ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance are required.

Nice to have

• Associate degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, or industrial hygiene.
• At least two years of EHS experience in aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or another high-hazard industry.
• OSHA 10 or 30, DOT hazmat shipping, forklift, RCRA, or first aid/CPR certifications.
• Experience managing hazardous waste accumulation areas under RCRA or California requirements.
• Startup or fast-paced work experience.
