What you will do

• Identify, evaluate, communicate, and manage title insurance risks associated with technology features, products, and product lines.
• Execute underwriting strategy for technology-enabled products and participate in product planning and strategy discussions.
• Provide title insurance, underwriting, real estate, and conveyancing expertise to product managers, designers, researchers, and engineers.
• Translate complex insurance, real estate, and technology concepts into clear guidance for product teams and transaction underwriters.
• Assess competitor products, identify market gaps and threats, and contribute to product roadmap execution and prioritization.

Requirements

• Law degree and admission to law practice appropriate for the position and location.
• At least three years of direct experience in title insurance underwriting, title counsel, or real estate conveyancing.
• Experience applying underwriting judgment in technology, product, automation, or AI-enabled environments.
• Strong understanding of land titles, real estate law, conveyancing, and federal and state laws governing title insurance and settlement services.
• Strong verbal and visual communication skills, business acumen, and strategic agility.
• Novice-level understanding of at least one software engineering language.
