TL;DR
Aircraft Mechanic I - C-130 Structures (C-130): Inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying C-130 aircraft structures and systems with an accent on structural maintenance, advanced metalworking, and technical-order compliance. Focus on fabricating and installing structural components, resolving moderate to complex airframe malfunctions, and performing flight-line inspections and aircraft servicing.
Location: Onsite full-time at a designated Lockheed Martin facility at Hurlburt Field, Florida; US citizenship required.

What you will do
- Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, replace, and modify C-130 aircraft structures, structural components, and aircraft systems.
- Repair and fabricate wings, fuselage sections, flight-control surfaces, and other structural components using aircraft maintenance tools and equipment.
- Remove and install close-tolerance, high-strength fasteners and apply advanced metalworking practices.
- Interpret technical orders, maintenance manuals, service bulletins, engineering data, and other specifications to determine repair methods.
- Perform preflight, thru-flight, post-flight, corrosion, periodic, hourly, special, and calendar inspections.
- Support launch and recovery operations, refuel/defuel, aircraft jacking and towing, and servicing of oxygen, hydraulics, engine oil, tires, and lubrication systems.
Requirements
- At least five years of aircraft structural maintenance experience.
- Thorough knowledge of aircraft structural, mechanical, hydraulic, engine, refuel pod, and electrical systems, including C-130J/H aircraft.
- Ability to troubleshoot, adjust, repair, and replace aircraft components and resolve moderate to complex malfunctions.
- Experience interpreting technical orders, blueprints, and written repair guidance.
- Experience using USAF Technical Orders, DTADS, AFTO 781 forms, IMDS, aircraft logs, and maintenance records.
- US citizenship and eligibility for a Secret government security clearance are required.
Nice to have
- Six years of experience on at least one AFSOC C-130 mission design series.
- Heavy C-130J structural modification experience.
- C-130 isochronal or letter check experience.
- Three years of C-130J flight-line aircraft experience.
