TL;DR
Senior Quality Analyst (Aviation): Supporting quality assurance and quality control for C-130 aircraft maintenance and engineering programs with an accent on airworthiness, safety-of-flight inspections, auditing, and compliance. Focus on inspecting aircraft systems, validating maintenance documentation, investigating incidents, and driving corrective actions and process improvements.

Location: Hurlburt Field, Florida, United States; onsite aircraft maintenance and flight-line duties

What you will do

  • Support project Quality Plans, monthly reports, trend analysis, and quality management initiatives.
  • Conduct process, product, maintenance, tooling, FOD, and special audits, including Key Task Listing inspections and Quality Control Verifications.
  • Inspect electrical, avionics, hydraulic, power plant, flight control, pneumatic, fuel, emergency, and structural systems on C-130 aircraft.
  • Monitor AFTO 781-series documentation and IMDS records for accuracy and completeness, supporting impoundment, FCF, debrief, launch, and recovery operations.
  • Investigate aircraft incidents and lost tools, perform safety-of-flight and in-process inspections, and manage corrective action requests and root-cause analysis.
  • Coordinate technical assistance, manufactured parts and tooling validation, technical data changes, QAE assessments, pre-closure inspections, and certification visits.

Requirements

  • Four years of C-130 military aircraft maintenance experience and three years in a quality engineer, analyst, assurance, or inspector role.
  • Previous C-130 All System Red X and Exceptional/Conditional Release qualifications.
  • AS9100 internal auditor training, understanding of AS9100 and Quality Management Systems, and familiarity with IMDS.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and customer specifications and use calibrated measurement and test tools.
  • Willingness to work any shift and weekends as required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.

Nice to have

  • Mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or business quality management background.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Aircraft Weight and Balance Certification.
