What you will do

  • Inspect aircraft, components, parts, raw materials, maintenance activities, and special processes for conformity with approved technical data and quality standards.
  • Conduct audits, reviews, activity inspections, compliance evaluations, and quality assessments across aviation maintenance and logistics support functions.
  • Perform statistical quality control, root cause analysis, deficiency analysis, and trend analysis using data collection and database management techniques.
  • Recommend acceptable quality levels, inspection frequencies, sampling methods, control procedures, and corrective maintenance actions.
  • Prepare status reports, metrics, management briefings, and strategies while providing technical support to resolve maintenance problems.
  • Interface professionally with customer and government personnel and evaluate training criteria for current team capabilities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least six years of aviation inspection experience.
  • A&P license or military school certification required.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical principles related to aircrew egress systems, maintenance directives, schematic drawings, and technical publications.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a government general-purpose vehicle.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Advanced software application experience.
  • Experience evaluating electrical, electronic, machining, structures, composites, aircraft, and ground support systems in development, manufacturing, or testing environments.
