Case Coordinator II - Sterile Processing

Location: Tufts Medical Center; onsite hospital-based role

Pay range: $24.65–$30.82 per hour

What you will do

• Review the next-day operating room schedule and pick the required supplies and instruments.
• Prepare complete and accurate case carts for scheduled and add-on procedures.
• Coordinate the timely movement of instruments and equipment between the operating room and central processing.
• Communicate schedule changes, equipment conflicts, and operating room needs to nurses, surgeons, technicians, and sterile processing staff.
• Maintain instrument tracking data, preference cards, count sheets, kit labels, and location labels.
• Set priorities and timelines to support same-day and next-day surgical procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a certified central processing program.
• Central Services Technician National Certification (CRCST) or CBSPD certification.
• Three years of central processing, operating room, or supply chain experience.
• Knowledge of general and specialty instrumentation, infection control, medical terminology, Microsoft Office, and instrument tracking systems.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 40–50 pounds or more and stand or sit for eight hours or the length of the assignment.

Nice to have

• Five years of central processing, operating room, or supply chain experience.
