Sterile Processing Technician - Sterile Processing - Full Time - Experience Required

Location: Nashua, NH, United States. Full-time onsite role working 2:30pm–11:00pm Monday–Friday, with rotating call, weekends, and holidays.

What you will do

• Collect used supplies and instruments for decontamination according to the Surgical Services schedule and as needed.
• Sort and pre-clean instruments using ultrasonic processing before mechanical washing.
• Operate mechanical washers and select appropriate sterilization processes.
• Inspect instruments for functionality and recommend replacements when needed.
• Assemble instrument trays according to count sheets, then wrap and package instrument sets.
• Collaborate with the Surgical Services team under the direction of the Lead Technician.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous sterile processing experience is required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and technical terminology related to sterile processing.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to achieve competencies within 180 days in instrument decontamination, sterilization and packaging, machine operation and troubleshooting, computerized documentation, and quality audits.
