Senior Network Engineer

What you will do

• Design, deploy, configure, and maintain enterprise networks using Cisco and Palo Alto Networks firewalls, routers, and switches.
• Manage centralized firewall configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting through Panorama.
• Provide Tier-III support and resolve complex network security and connectivity issues.
• Plan, engineer, optimize, document, and secure LAN/WAN infrastructure, servers, SANs, and related systems.
• Lead requirements gathering, test planning, and certification/accreditation activities while ensuring compliance with federal security standards.
• Provide escalation support, training, and mentorship to junior network engineers and research emerging network security technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Active Top Secret clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access.
• CCNA or CCNP certification.
• At least 8 years of hands-on enterprise network engineering experience.
• Advanced knowledge of BGP, OSPF, VLANs, ACLs, QoS, multicast, and Cisco networking technologies.
• Experience with Windows, Active Directory, Linux, VMware, SAN/RAID storage, physical and optical cabling, and network security solutions.

Nice to have

• Palo Alto Networks PCNSE certification.
• Hands-on experience with Panorama and Palo Alto Networks products.
• Experience supporting the Department of State or other federal agencies.
• Knowledge of federal compliance standards, certification and accreditation activities, and security frameworks.
• Experience leading modernization projects and mentoring junior engineers.
