Senior Program Manager (DoD Acquisitions)

Location: Must be located in Michigan and able to work on-site or within the state as required; remote work is possible for managing large projects with minimal support.

What you will do

• Direct the overall management of complex defense acquisition programs and multifunctional project teams.
• Oversee cost estimates, budgets, schedules, critical paths, performance standards, and resource requirements.
• Coordinate integrated product team meetings and interface daily with government coordinators, customers, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Lead proposal development, government contract pursuits, capture activities, awards, and follow-on business growth.
• Review financial and performance reports, forecasts, project status, procurement activity, and delivery risks.
• Supervise direct reports, including hiring, performance reviews, corrective action, and termination decisions.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree in a relevant field; an engineering degree is desired.
• 18 years of task-related work experience, including 12 years in DoD acquisitions and 14 years in team leadership.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, project scheduling, critical-path tracking, budgets, contracts, and proposals.
• Familiarity with AS9100 and AS9110 quality requirements, TDP data, and major defense acquisition logistics.
• Must be able to obtain a government security clearance and pass drug and background screening.
• Must be located in Michigan and able to work on-site or within the state as required.

Nice to have

• Experience in civil or military aircraft operations.
• Prior business development and capture experience.
• Former military or civil servant experience with direct GCS experience.
• Experience with TACOM and GVSC personnel and structure.
