Electrical Engineer - Buildings & Construction

Location: Pullman, Washington, United States; onsite position

Salary: $97,700–$144,400 annually. A Lead Electrical Engineer level may be considered at $115,300–$170,400 annually.

What you will do

• Design and maintain electrical systems for commercial and industrial buildings.
• Develop technical expertise in NFPA, state, and local code compliance.
• Perform electrical load, distribution coordination, energy conservation, and lighting studies.
• Set project direction and guide scoping, planning, estimating, and risk management.
• Consult with EH&S teams on electrical safety compliance and procedures.
• Work with facilities maintenance teams to troubleshoot facility equipment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Professional Engineer license, with the ability to obtain a Washington and/or Idaho license within six months.
• Five years of experience managing building construction or improvement projects or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of codes relating to commercial and industrial buildings.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and scheduling software.
• Excellent technical training skills.

Nice to have

• Experience working with inspection and permitting authorities.
• Knowledge of system protection, integration, and automation applications.
• Commissioning certification.
