Sample Receiving Technician (Environmental Testing)

Location: Onsite in Altamonte Springs, Florida, USA; candidates must live within a commutable distance. Full-time, Monday–Friday, 9:00am–6:00pm.

What you will do

• Receive, unload, document, and log incoming environmental samples in the LIMS.
• Assign lot numbers, label samples, and deliver them to the appropriate laboratory departments.
• Verify sample documentation and resolve incomplete or inaccurate records.
• Monitor freezer and cooler temperatures, prepare bottle kits, and perform sample splits and composites.
• Manage supplies, ship empty coolers, and dispose of samples and hazardous materials according to procedures.
• Maintain an organized, clean, safe, and environmentally compliant sample custody department while interacting professionally with clients.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to repeatedly lift and move boxes weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, time management, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to use LIMS software, perform basic math, and operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
• Awareness of safety procedures and ability to follow instructions in a fast-paced production environment.
• Authorization to work indefinitely in the United States without restriction or sponsorship. Professional working proficiency in English is required.
