Production Operator I (Industrial Gases)

Location: Santa Ana, California, United States; onsite at the S Fairview Avenue filling facility.

Salary: $20.00–$24.50 per hour for the second shift, plus a pay-for-performance bonus.

What you will do

• Inspect cylinders and perform safety checks, including odor tests and cap and valve inspections.
• Prepare and fill high-pressure, medical, liquid, and cryogenic cylinders by pressure and weight.
• Analyze gas products for purity and correct mixtures and complete quality control records.
• Connect cylinders to manifolds and evacuate them to remove contaminants.
• Load and unload cylinders using pallets, tractor trailers, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
• Maintain accurate labeling, regulatory paperwork, and a clean, orderly plant while following hazardous-material handling standards.

Requirements

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail and organization.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, safety data sheets, and procedure manuals.
• Basic mathematical and written communication skills.
• Ability to interact professionally with fellow associates and provide customer-oriented service.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent and at least one year of related experience or training are preferred.
