Field Service Technician III (Deploy Only) (Aerospace & Defense)

Location: Shalimar, Florida, United States; deploy-only role requiring overseas work on 90-day rotations

What you will do

• Perform expert-level maintenance, installation, operation, repair, and modification of aerospace and defense products.
• Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, networking, radar, and communications issues.
• Support tactical and commercial diesel platforms, including JLTV, Humvee, LTV, and other military vehicles.
• Support vehicle launch, validation, early production, prototyping, and product improvement activities with engineering teams.
• Maintain equipment status, spare-parts and tool inventories, field records, root-cause documentation, and technical reports.
• Provide customer-site technical support and training while traveling extensively, including internationally.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent related experience, and 3+ years of technician experience.
• Ability to interpret technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and technical publications.
• Hands-on experience maintaining, repairing, overhauling, or sustaining diesel or military vehicles.
• Experience with troubleshooting, electrical wiring, mechanical and electrical systems, radar, communications, computer networks, cable distribution, COMSEC, and cryptographic devices.
• Active Secret U.S. Security Clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.
• Valid passport, ability to obtain international travel visas, successful pre-deployment medical assessment, and ability to meet DoD and Combatant Command deployment restrictions are required. Must be able to deploy for at least 90 days outside the continental United States and work extended hours, holidays, and shifts on a 60-hour work week.

Nice to have

• FCC or FCC GROL certification.
• Security+, Network+, CCNA, or A+ certification.
• ASE certification, especially for diesel engines or medium/heavy trucks.
• Additional experience with vehicle launches, DoD/DoW maintenance practices, MESL, technical directives, root-cause analysis, and structured troubleshooting.
