Manufacturing Process Engineer II (Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in Neosho, Missouri, United States. Ability to travel up to 25% may be required.

What you will do

• Plan, design, arrange, change, and optimize manufacturing processes, equipment, machinery, fixtures, gauges, tooling, and material handling systems.
• Coordinate fabrication, installation, supplier specifications, quotes, delivery, and implementation of manufacturing equipment.
• Develop and document alternate processing methods, process improvements, work instructions, process flows, PFMEAs, and control plans.
• Evaluate new manufacturing methods, machinery, technology, and field installations to improve productivity, reduce waste, cost, and downtime.
• Maintain CAD documentation for equipment and plant layouts and support product development, R&D, and capital project planning.
• Lead cross-functional project teams and support projects responsible for significant annual cost reductions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field with 2–4 years of manufacturing experience, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and Visio.
• Knowledge of statistical process control, lean manufacturing, process capability, and process improvement tools including VSM, DFM, and DFA.
• Experience reading part, gauge, and machine drawings and defining manufacturing processes, PFMEAs, control plans, and work instructions.
• Knowledge of NPV, ROI, capital appropriation, and capital equipment implementation and management.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, technical writing, communication, and project leadership skills.

Nice to have

• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt experience.
• Change management, organization, and time-management experience.
• Experience applying statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
