Experienced Mechanical Technician (Manufacturing)

Location: Albany Plant, United States; onsite manufacturing role with rotating 12-hour shifts on a 2-2-3 rapid rotation schedule.

Starting pay: $29.27–$39.54 per hour.

What you will do

• Maintain and troubleshoot high-speed making, packing, process, and other manufacturing machinery.
• Perform preventive maintenance, equipment calibrations, monitoring, and system improvements.
• Analyze equipment trends and technical data to identify issues proactively.
• Diagnose mechanical problems, resolve defects, and perform root cause analysis.
• Support continuous improvement projects focused on throughput, cost, quality, and safety.
• Build technical skills in other employees.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and at least two years of technical experience in manufacturing or a similar industry.
• Applied mechanical skills in an industrial environment.
• Knowledge of engines, pumps, compressors, turbines, conveyors, gears, bearings, and other mechanical components.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and precision instruments.
• Understanding of system integration, control mechanisms, automation, and electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic interconnections.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, issue-resolution, teamwork, and interpersonal skills; ability to work rotating shifts.
