Lead DevOps Engineer (AWS)

Location: Austin, TX, USA; hybrid

Salary: USD 150,000–170,000 yearly

What you will do

• Lead high-impact, complex projects across Engineering, Security, and DevOps to improve cloud infrastructure architecture and operations.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code and system configurations on AWS.
• Provide escalation support through a 24x7 on-call rotation for deployment tooling and workflows.
• Mentor junior engineers and facilitate training on platform operations and architecture.
• Maintain documentation for infrastructure and architectural standards.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with infrastructure as code or configuration management, including code reviews.
• Experience with Ansible, Terraform, or CDK.
• Strong AWS, Kubernetes, and HashiCorp Vault knowledge.
• Experience with CI/CD automation and toolchains such as Jenkins, Harness, GitHub, JFrog, Artifactory, X-Ray, and SonarQube.
• Strong Linux command-line, Python, and Bash skills.
• Strong written communication, independent project delivery, and comfort using chat tools such as Slack.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with SaaS observability platforms such as SignalFx and Splunk.
