Sr Auditor (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid role based in San Francisco or Lehi, United States; in-office attendance is required on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Remote placement is not considered. Primarily Pacific Time hours are expected, with flexibility across time zones when necessary. Travel to offices or other locations may be required.

Salary: $66,000–$103,000 base salary annually, with potential eligibility for equity and an annual bonus.

What you will do

• Execute end-to-end audits across business and technology areas, from scoping through reporting and validation.
• Identify key risks and evaluate control design and effectiveness in a regulated financial environment.
• Partner with teams to understand processes, challenge assumptions, and improve risk outcomes.
• Translate audit findings into actionable insights and practical mitigation strategies.
• Use data analytics and AI-enabled tools to improve testing coverage, efficiency, documentation, and insight quality.
• Monitor remediation, build knowledge of products and systems, and improve audit workflows and methodologies.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of internal audit or related experience, with a bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Strong judgment when assessing risks, testing controls, and reaching conclusions.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to adapt messaging to different audiences.
• Effective collaboration skills while maintaining independence and building trust across teams.
• Ability to stay organized, prioritize work, manage multiple audits, and navigate ambiguity and change.
• Practical use of AI tools in the audit lifecycle, with attention to accuracy, compliance, and data sensitivity.

Nice to have

• Internal audit experience in a bank, broker-dealer, or financial services company.
• CIA, CISA, CPA, CAMS, or CRCM certification.
• Experience using data analytics or AI tools for audit testing and insights.
• Familiarity with financial services regulations and control frameworks.
