Senior Analyst, Operational Risk Management (Hybrid) (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid office environment with 3 days in office in Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Baltimore, Maryland; or Denver, Colorado.

Salary: $80,000–$95,000 annually, with potential eligibility for an annual bonus under the company bonus plan.

What you will do

• Support operational risk identification, assessment, monitoring, and reporting across business and technology functions.
• Participate in risk assessments and process risk assessments for assigned business groups.
• Review process designs and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and quality.
• Monitor action plans, report their status, and assist with root cause analysis.
• Support management control testing and evaluate the adequacy of corrective actions.
• Collaborate with risk management, compliance, IT, Internal Audit, and business stakeholders while maintaining risk records in the GRC tool.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a relevant field.
• Four years of experience in operational risk management, internal controls, audit, or an equivalent operational role.
• Knowledge of process flows, risk and control identification and assessment, testing, monitoring procedures, and related metrics.
• Ability to present to and interact with multiple levels of management.
• Ability to build relationships across the organization.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in insurance or financial services.
• Data analytics experience, particularly Power BI or advanced Excel.
• CPA, CIA, or CISA certification.
