Global Product Support (GPS) Engineer III (Semiconductor)

Location: Santa Clara, California, United States. Full-time onsite role with 25% travel. Relocation eligible.

Salary: $124,000–$171,000 per year, plus potential bonus and stock awards.

What you will do

• Develop service procedures, Best Known Methods, technical manuals, Customer Engineering Notices, internal service bulletins, and troubleshooting guides for new products.
• Participate in or lead first chamber builds and tests in the applications laboratory, resolve issues, and collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing on product testing.
• Partner with Quality & Reliability to address top field issues, manage CAPA activities, and conduct or facilitate failure analysis.
• Collect process and qualification data to establish product Best Known Methods.
• Develop initial training packages and coordinate training classes for Customer Engineers, Process Engineers, and Technical Product Support personnel.
• Identify new parts requiring stock and coordinate correct inventory placement with AGS.

Requirements

• Conceptual and practical expertise in the relevant engineering discipline, with basic knowledge of related disciplines.
• Knowledge of best practices and how the function integrates with other teams and the semiconductor equipment market.
• Ability to solve complex problems by analyzing information from multiple sources and applying sound judgment.
• Ability to explain difficult or sensitive information and build consensus across teams.
• Ability to act as a resource for less experienced colleagues and lead small projects.
• Ability to work onsite in Santa Clara, California, and travel approximately 25% of the time.
