Electrical & Instrumentation Technician (Shift)

Location: London Plant–West Thurrock, United Kingdom; on-site, 12-hour rotating day and night shifts

Salary: £63,501–£65,184 per year, including the weekly shift premium

What you will do

• Maintain, install, rebuild, commission, and repair electrical equipment.
• Troubleshoot circuit problems, production machinery, PLCs, control equipment, instrumentation, and coordinated drives.
• Respond to service calls and support operations technicians with troubleshooting and emergency repairs.
• Work with the assigned operating area to improve productivity, reliability, work processes, and equipment performance.
• Support and develop mechanical maintenance skills as required.
• Follow safety procedures, report near misses, maintain housekeeping, and complete SAP maintenance work orders and documentation.

Requirements

• ONC/C&G Part III, HNC, or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering, supported by a time-served apprenticeship.
• Proven electrical experience in a process or production environment, preferably in Fast-Moving Consumer Goods or a similar industry.
• Experience with PLC control systems, preferably Allen Bradley, SCADA systems, instrumentation, and 415V motor control circuits.
• Strong accountability, interpersonal skills, and the ability to influence others.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Must have the right to work in the United Kingdom from the first day of employment; visa sponsorship may be provided subject to Home Office requirements.
