Electrical Plant Technician

Location: Alloa, United Kingdom; based at the Alloa Production Plant with regular support for nearby satellite plants

What you will do

• Operate and maintain the main production plant and associated satellite plants, including start-up and shutdown activities.
• Resolve electrical, trade-specific, process-related, and equipment breakdown issues across multiple sites.
• Take responsibility for safety, health, quality, environmental compliance, site security, and safety work permits.
• Plan and execute routine, corrective, and non-routine maintenance in SAP, including major maintenance activities and plant shutdowns.
• Manage spare parts and equipment stock, maintain plant logs and records, and ensure accurate reporting.
• Represent the company with customers, contractors, authorities, and service providers; support apprentices and supervisors.

Requirements

• Level 3 electrical engineering qualification or completion of a recognised apprenticeship.
• Valid UK driving licence required.
• Strong hands-on experience with process plant operations and maintenance.
• Knowledge of industrial process plants and equipment, including HYCO, ASU, HPN, VSA, helium systems, pipelines, and associated electrical equipment.
• Strong communication, teamwork, customer-facing, and independent working skills.
• IT literacy with experience using SAP and Microsoft Office; willingness to provide out-of-hours support through an on-call rota.
