Chief Engineer (Broadcasting)

hirify.global operates a television broadcasting station requiring engineering, IT, and broadcast technology management.

What you will do

• Manage the Engineering Department, IT staff, and station information technology systems.
• Maintain broadcast technology and equipment, including digital transmitters, microwave systems, audio equipment, graphics systems, and editing systems.
• Plan staffing, training, performance evaluations, hiring, promotions, and other personnel decisions.
• Develop and implement new technologies and technical infrastructure with corporate leadership.
• Manage engineering and technology capital projects, budgets, assignments, and deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with FCC and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.

Requirements

• Technical degree in Digital Electronics, Broadcasting, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• Minimum five years of experience with digital electronics systems in a television broadcasting environment, including at least three years in a leadership role.
• Experience with fiber connectivity, production setups, A/V routing and patching, broadcast equipment, and information technology systems.
• Experience evaluating, selecting, installing, servicing, and maintaining broadcasting and IT equipment.
• Fluent English and strong oral and written communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record, strong PC/MS Office experience, and the ability to prioritize multiple assignments.
