Broadcast Comms Engineer Lead

What you will do

• Lead configuration, maintenance, optimization, upgrades, and lifecycle management for broadcast intercom and audio systems.
• Support Riedel Artist, Riedel Bolero, RTS, and related matrix, panel, IP endpoint, wireless, and hybrid solutions.
• Monitor and troubleshoot system performance in real time during live broadcasts and events.
• Manage routing and signal flow between control rooms, studios, remote sites, and live venues.
• Coordinate with broadcast engineering, IT teams, and vendors on system upgrades and expansions.
• Maintain documentation and procedures, train users, and provide technical leadership during rotating on-call incidents.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5–8 years of technical engineering experience in broadcast or live production environments.
• Deep expertise with intercom and audio systems, particularly Riedel, RTS, Clear-Com, or comparable platforms.
• Knowledge of AES67, SMPTE ST 2110, Dante, RVON, PTP, and IP-based broadcast infrastructure.
• Experience with routers, switchers, audio consoles, networking, RF communications, and frequency coordination.
• Ability to work in high-pressure live production environments and work nights, weekends, non-standard hours, and travel as needed.
