Chief Engineer (ELINT/ESM)

Location: Plano, Texas, United States; primarily office or hybrid work. U.S. citizenship and current/active Top Secret with SCI eligibility security clearance are required.

What you will do

• Provide technical leadership and oversight from concept design through final product release.
• Develop and maintain technical baselines across multiple programs with configuration control and consistency.
• Oversee technology projects and align technical solutions with business strategy and customer requirements.
• Review technical and cost proposal volumes and support early customer pursuit activities.
• Guide Project Engineers and support program and technical reviews.
• Lead requirements shaping, technical solution synthesis, resource planning, and cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Aerospace, or a related field; a higher relevant degree may substitute for experience.
• At least 20 years of systems engineering experience, including 10 years in ELINT, ESM, SIGINT, or related defense electronic warfare fields.
• At least 5 years of director-level engineering management experience leading multidisciplinary teams in defense or national security.
• Deep expertise in ELINT/ESM architectures, RF system design, digital signal processing, sensor integration, radar parameter measurements, threat databases, and RF cascade analysis.
• Hands-on experience with requirements analysis, design, integration, verification, validation, hardware/software integration, real-time embedded systems, and C4ISR systems.
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain the required U.S. security clearance are mandatory.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree and experience in aerospace and defense, NASA, the U.S. Department of Defense, intelligence agencies, or the U.S. military.
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance and experience applying AI tools and techniques to ESM processing.
• Experience with agile development, digital engineering, advanced engineering tools, and defense industry standards.
• Background in change management, mentoring, succession planning, recruiting, and engineering team development.
