Material Development Manager

Location: Rigby, Idaho, USA; hybrid work environment with in-office days on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday

hirify.global operates Teton Outfitters, a powersports apparel company with KLIM and 509 brands spanning apparel, helmets, goggles, and accessories.

What you will do

• Lead a two-person materials team and define the materials development strategy for KLIM and 509 product lines.
• Guide hiring, coaching, performance management, workload prioritization, and capability building.
• Oversee the development, testing, validation, quality, durability, performance, and cost of new materials.
• Advance the material innovation pipeline by identifying new technologies, materials, and supplier capabilities.
• Build strategic relationships with mills and development partners and align material direction with Design, Product Development, Sourcing, and Operations.
• Drive process improvement, KPI-based decision-making, risk mitigation, and material library infrastructure.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; Textile Development, Materials Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in materials or textile development for technical products.
• Experience in technical outerwear and expertise in waterproof/breathable fabrics, insulation technology, and protective textiles.
• Experience managing global supplier networks and strategic mill partnerships.
• Strong leadership, communication, cross-functional influence, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Position is based on-site in Rigby, Idaho, with a hybrid schedule; travel may reach 10% domestically and internationally. Visa sponsorship is not available.

• Experience with motorcycle and snowmobile apparel.
