TL;DR
Sr. Manager, Materials - UGG Apparel & Accessories (Textiles and Raw Materials): Leading the end-to-end development and optimization of knits, wovens, trims, and other raw materials for UGG apparel and accessories with an accent on seasonal strategy, material performance, sustainability, and manufacturability. Focus on managing supplier and sourcing partnerships, developing the materials team, optimizing FlexPLM data, and solving technical, cost, lead-time, and material-readiness risks.

Location: Goleta, California, United States — hybrid, typically in the office three times per week from Tuesday through Thursday

Salary: $137,500–$185,600 per year in Goleta, California

What you will do

  • Lead the full material development process for knits, wovens, and trims from concept through final confirmation.
  • Build seasonal and franchise material strategies for core, premium, and pinnacle UGG apparel and accessories.
  • Manage sourcing strategy with the Asia Sourcing team to improve costs, lead times, vendor capabilities, and material readiness.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop the A&A Material Developers.
  • Collaborate with product design, product development, global partners, suppliers, and overseas stakeholders.
  • Evaluate technical feasibility, performance, sustainability, manufacturability, and risk while improving material workflows, libraries, and FlexPLM data.

Requirements

  • Expertise in raw materials, including yarns, fabrics, finishings, and trims.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Textile Design, Textile Technology, Textile Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience and 5+ years of management experience.
  • Experience managing multiple overlapping projects and seasons in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Working knowledge of FlexPLM, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Suite, and Excel.
