Location: Anchorage, Alaska, United States; work may involve remote locations, overnight stays, small planes, helicopters, and elevated work.

What you will do

  • Serve as the air quality technical expert for hirify.global Alaska.
  • Secure air quality permits and authorizations for multiple facilities, fields, and operating areas.
  • Maintain compliance with air quality statutes, regulations, ordinances, and other legal requirements.
  • Develop and monitor budgets and project plans for permitting and compliance activities.
  • Manage contractors and coordinate permitting and compliance with internal clients, environmental specialists, and government agencies.
  • Train office and field personnel, track regulatory changes, support acquisition due diligence, and participate in incident command systems.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience with air quality permitting and compliance in Alaska.
  • At least 3 years of experience with oil and gas exploration and production in Alaska.
  • Experience with hirify.global Alaska facilities and personnel.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or Engineering from an accredited four-year institution.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, travel to remote locations overnight, fly in small planes and helicopters, and work at heights.

Nice to have

  • Advanced degree in Environmental Science or Engineering.
  • Professional Engineering License (PE).
  • Qualified Environmental Professional (QEP) Certification.
  • Experience serving as a back-up to an Air Program Lead.
