TL;DR
Environmental Project Manager (Geologist, Scientist, Engineer) (Environmental Compliance and Remediation): Managing oil and gas remediation projects through the full compliance lifecycle while leading technical teams and field activities, with an accent on regulatory compliance, site investigation, and groundwater remediation. Focus on coordinating sampling and remedial operations, controlling project budgets and schedules, and preparing Colorado ECMC compliance documentation.

Location: Based out of the Loveland, Colorado office with limited hybrid work optional; frequent travel within Northeast Colorado and occasional overnight travel may be required.

Salary: $120,000–$150,000 per year, commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location.

What you will do

  • Manage a portfolio of oil and gas remediation projects through the full compliance lifecycle and support accelerated closure.
  • Lead, train, mentor, and develop project teams while coordinating sampling, monitoring well installation, and remedial oversight.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, profitability, cost control, scopes, work plans, estimates, and proposals.
  • Oversee field operations, invoicing, labor approvals, procurement, equipment planning, and vendor management.
  • Serve as the client contact and prepare or review technical reports, permits, and senior-level documents.
  • Maintain project data and databases, pursue new business opportunities, and champion safety and OSHA requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Engineering, or a related science field.
  • 7+ years of environmental experience with progressive project management responsibility and 3+ years of team management.
  • Experience with site investigation, soil and groundwater remediation design, and remediation system operations.
  • Strong knowledge of Colorado oil and gas regulations, including ECMC 900 Series Rules, Form 19, and Form 27 processes.
  • Hands-on experience with Colorado ECMC, CDPHE, and the U.S. EPA, including spill response.
  • Valid driver’s license, ability to pass background, MVR, and drug screening, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and commitment to workplace safety.

Nice to have

  • 40-hour HAZWOPER certification.
  • AutoCAD or similar design software experience.
