Location: Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA; regular onsite work with travel to other hirify.global facilities as necessary

What you will do

• Provide engineering input for product development projects and collaborate with engineering, operations, sourcing, quality, service, and marketing.
• Define functional requirements, test and integrate moderately complex components, and evaluate design effectiveness, cost, reliability, and safety.
• Design and evaluate system fitness-for-use testing, product specifications, and process validation plans.
• Collaborate with manufacturing partners, contract manufacturers, designers, and product specialists to improve manufacturability.
• Contribute to CAD and CAE modeling, product schedules, cost targets, and design inputs.
• Mentor and teach less experienced engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 7+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Engine design and development experience, preferably focused on application engineering and engine integration.
• Knowledge of fuel, control, intake, cooling, and exhaust systems.
• Ability to work across functions, perform accurate detail-oriented work across multiple projects, and communicate technical information to different audiences.
• Experience with machine design, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and SAP or an equivalent ERP system.
