Senior Power Systems Engineer (Generator Systems)

Location: Hybrid, three days on site at N7650 County Rd LS, Sheboygan, Wisconsin, 53083. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring new or transfer visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Salary: $89,800.00–$114,100.00 per year.

What you will do

• Lead or support the implementation, validation, testing, and post-production support of electrical components and electronic systems on generator platforms.
• Develop generator-set electrical harnesses, wire-management systems, breaker power boxes, basic electrical packages, and Automatic Transfer Switch solutions.
• Provide power-system expertise and technical guidance to product development, manufacturing, sales, applications engineering, CAD analysts, and other cross-functional teams.
• Develop test specifications and procedures, troubleshoot failures, and support supplier investigations and root-cause analysis.
• Drive continuous improvement through generator sizing program updates, technical publication standardization, captive toolset improvements, lessons learned, and process improvements.
• Participate in design reviews and design FMEAs, develop product documentation, and ensure customer, regulatory, technical, cost, quality, and schedule requirements are met.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
• 5+ years of electrical experience and 1+ year of related power systems design experience.
• Ability to develop electrical harness and wire-management systems in accordance with third-party agency regulatory requirements and internal KPS design standards.
• Ability to communicate effectively, demonstrate teamwork, and provide technical guidance and design direction.
• Ability to develop and achieve product specifications for customer, regulatory, and technical requirements.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of designing to National Electrical Code standards.
• Software experience with SEE Electrical, AutoCAD, Creo, MATLAB, SAP, or PTC Windchill.
