Azure Cloud Network Engineer

What you will do

• Configure and maintain Azure VNets, subnets, VPN Gateways, ExpressRoute circuits, Virtual WAN, routing, DNS, and IPAM.
• Manage NSGs, ASGs, Azure Firewall, WAF policies, Private Link, and Private Endpoints to enforce network security and segmentation.
• Implement and troubleshoot hybrid connectivity between on-premises data centers and Azure using Site-to-Site VPN, ExpressRoute, and Virtual WAN.
• Configure Azure Load Balancer, Application Gateway, Front Door, and Traffic Manager for high availability and traffic distribution.
• Monitor network health and resolve connectivity, latency, routing, and security issues using Azure Network Watcher, Azure Monitor, and Log Analytics.
• Develop Infrastructure-as-Code configurations with ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform, and document changes, diagrams, procedures, incidents, and service requests.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and U.S. citizenship are required.
• Bachelor's degree in a related technical field or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of network engineering experience, including 3+ years configuring, administering, and troubleshooting Microsoft Azure networking environments.
• Experience with Azure VNets, subnets, NSGs, ExpressRoute, VPN Gateway, Azure Firewall, and hybrid connectivity.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, BGP, and IPsec/IKEv2 VPN protocols.
• Experience with ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform, network security best practices, and Security+ certification.

Nice to have

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate or Azure Administrator Associate.
• Experience with Azure Virtual WAN, Azure Front Door, or multi-region network architectures.
• Experience integrating Palo Alto, Cisco, Fortinet, or other third-party network and security appliances with Azure.
• Scripting experience with PowerShell, Python, or Azure CLI.
• Experience in federal government, regulated, or compliance-driven environments such as FedRAMP or NIST 800-53.
