Remote - Employment Counsel

Location: Fully remote, but candidates must reside in a state where the firm has a physical office.

Salary: $190,000–$207,500 per year, adjusted based on experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors.

What you will do

• Advise a designated group of clients on hiring, leave, workplace policies, accommodations, discipline, discharge, investigations, ADA/FMLA, and wage and hour matters.
• Develop and conduct recorded webinars on employment-related topics.
• Draft and revise employment policies, handbooks, forms, checklists, and related client documents.
• Maintain direct client relationships and provide practical guidance on employment law matters.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree.
• Active license to practice law and good standing in at least one state, with continuing licensure maintained during employment.
• At least 7 years of employment law experience.
• Extensive experience advising clients, conducting training, and drafting or revising employment policies and forms.
• Must reside in a state where the firm has a physical office.

Nice to have

• Experience with DOT/trucking law, FMCSA requirements, hours of service, medical certifications, or CDL issues.
• Expertise in drug and alcohol testing, wage and hour law, ADA/FMLA, OSHA, immigration, or background checks.
• Knowledge of state and local laws in New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, or Massachusetts.
